Born in Taitung and currently based in Taipei, I am an independent artist working in performance and somatic education. My practice focuses on bodily performance and teaching, with a long-term interest in exploring the performative and narrative potential of the body across different contexts and spaces.

Since 2019, I have been engaging with Cambodian classical dance and have been deeply drawn to its embodied vocabulary and cultural framework. This encounter led to an ongoing process of research and practice. In 2023, I received funding from the Ministry of Culture on two occasions to conduct field research in Cambodia and to present the performance Everyday Symbols. The work incorporated the daily actions of local dancers and examined how the body carries memory and culture through ritualized practices.

My 2025 solo performance project Embodied Blessing continues this exploration of ritual and the body, grounded in the concept of “the body as a temple.” The project emphasizes the sacred dimension of the body within traditional dance and ritual actions. Fabric is used as a spatial element within the performance, further reflecting on how dancers’ costumes can be transformed into symbols of history and culture.

In addition to my artistic practice, I am actively involved in cultural outreach and education, with a particular focus on issues related to marriage migrants in Taiwan. Between 2022 and 2024, I organized and facilitated a series of lectures and somatic workshops in collaboration with institutions including the Mekong Cultural Center, Wangjian Bookstore, Taipei New Immigrants Center, Sister Radio FM105.7, and Educational Radio. I also share my ongoing research and creative process through the platform Secret About Apsara.

I believe that performance is not only an act of presentation, but also a form of social dialogue. Through embodied practice, I continue to explore the shifting relationships between the individual and the collective, tradition and contemporaneity, and seeing and being seen, in search of further possibilities for connection between art and communities.
